Lee Scratch Perry Roots Rock Reggae !!. This is taken from a great documentary about 'Black Ark' and eventually 'Trojan' studios and Lee Perry's recording techniQues. Talk about enjoying life and music. Scenes of some deep island groove happening here. A great history lesson for those that only know of Bob Marley's latter career. Bob was just another one of Lee's projects and the Wailers were Lee's backing band for years there. To me, This is how recording should be! Intersesting is the process with Lee and the clip below of a Tackhead studio session. Good vibes happening in both. Not all sessions are like this. I can attest!!! Tackhead in the studio 2clips miles apart yet insync with eachother. Adrian Sherwood would later be working with Lee! I have a hard time saying the word Reggae for Whitey (and their surf rastas) have tainted this as most things they coopt.
