review of the Mobile Spay/Neuter Van and LA Animal Services

Half price Winter Mondays means that you get vaccinations, spaying/neutering, microchip, nail clipping, and protective cone all for $75 (Public Assistance validated folks get it for $10 or so).  I researched Vets outside of NYC close to my parents in affordable South Jersey and also spoke with representatives at various "low cost" ASPCA affiliated veterinary hospitals.  I dare anyone to find a better deal that guarantees such safety and efficiency.

Arrived close to 5:30a being the first which aligns well with the first come, first neuter policy because the mobile truck can only take about 25 animals.  At 7a, the truck gets to that location and the paperwork starts.  You return to the same site at 3:30p to retrieve your drowsy pet.  The stitches are sewn on the inside which is best.  ASPCA also tattoo the pet with a tiny green shape for easy recognition for other doctors later.  At the pick-up, workers provide post-operation instructions which they go over individually.

The savings are incredible, and the ASPCA people are saints to help pet owners defray the cost without worrying what will happen to their beloved animals.
