Aka
"Time spent", recorded 1971-09-15 on the session for the (unreleased) single version of
John Martyn's
"May you never" … This
complete jam version is off
Kossoff's
"Back Street Crawler (Deluxe Edition)" 2cd (
Island /
Universal 2008).
Free's guitar player also features on three bonus tracks on the
cd version(s) of
Martyn's classic
"Live At Leeds" … of which a 2cd
Deluxe Edition has just (2010-09-06) been released by
Island / Universal (who, since the demise of
Chronicles, can't be bothered to dedicate a decent site to their reissues,
deluxe or not). More on that in our next post! Anyhoo, here's some more info kicks:

Time Away (Part 1). Recorded in 1973 and partially included on Koss' solo album. Koss, John Martyn and other musicians got together to cover another song; the recording session took a totally different direction, resulting in "Time Away".
Amazing depth and ambience.
John Martyn was also friends with Nick Drake, another incredible musician.
