via Here’s a rarity that came upon about 5 years a go. I was at Big Dog Records in Wayne, PA and found this just lamping on top of a stack of easy listening records with a $10 price tag. The cover was worth the price alone. I got home and slapped it on the turntable and was blown away. Dream Queen’s music was a beautiful and relevant as the cover art. Hard hitting funky spiritual jazz with plenty of Rhodes and Vibes. I quickly did a Google search and found nothing on this group. All I could gather is that they are from upstate NY and the album was recorded in Utica. This is worthy of the reissue treatment for sure. words ...
