to explain; in searching for a new home for "Boo" it became apparent that, to get her in a new foster home, a trade for another dog was going to be the solution. all (no kill) shelters i tried were full of pit bulls/mixes. (fact; 1/2 of ALL dogs in LA are pit/mixes. this is human irresponsibility that in turn causes the euthanization of four million cats and dogs (about one every eight seconds) in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.

SO NOW, BACK TO "THE DUDE" story...
it turns out theis "8 year old" lab/sheppard/ ???? mix was part of a show for a homeless man nearby and would entertain onlookers with tricks and whatnot. oh, and while doing this he had been spray painted green.(the dog)
the man loved his Dude yet had to fold up the circus and move on, so now the doge resides with me.
now Boo maybe still in need of a good home but we are taking one trial week to see if she will be staying.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER BEHAVIOR AS SHE HAS BEEN A PERFECT PUPPY. THIS JUST THE FACT THAT I CANNOT OWN 2 DOGS AND MY ROOMATE MAY TAKE HER ON AS HER OWN.
