There is no shipping on this item this is for pick up only... Here we have a real rare 1970’s Billy Hamilton Ace in the Hole Hawaiian big wave gun surfboard. Nothing need to be said about Billy Hamilton one of the best big wave surfers of all time. This was no over the counter surfboard you bought in Hawaii, This was made to tackle monster Hawaiian surf of the 70’s. This is a quality made board. On the stringer written in pencil it has a scroll mark then it says B Hamilton - Oahu – 1978 then another scroll mark, Then in pencil they written over in ink pin it has For Burton The Water Spider then another scroll mark.
As most vintage surfboards it has its share of nicks & dings I took enough photos (27) so you can check it out. This board stands 8ft 6” tall and 19 3/4thacross the middle. Measuring 12 inches down from the tip of the nose it is 11 3/4th wide, measuring 12 inches up from the tip of the tail it is 10 1/4th.
There was a large ding repaired in the side rail looks as if it was done right years ago but now is showing stress cracks in the clear coat. I think this could be re fixed and the board would look much better. There are very slight stress cracks at the fin not bad but there. There are plenty of different size pressure dings and both sides of the board. At the tail there is a newer small shatter.
No real big surprise’s just normal dings & shatters for a used board. Selling this just as found. No shipping on this one must pick up I don’t want to pack it ship across the USA and hear that it has an extra ding I forgot to mention. I’m in the Los Angeles Orange Co area or you can pick up at my antique store in Long beach if you live far away send a friend over.
