Spay and Neuter Outreach
Bark Avenue Foundation’s Spay and Neuter Outreach Program is a crucial part of ending pet overpopulation. Bark Avenue Foundation’s approach to addressing the pet overpopulation crisis is twofold:
• We serve as a community resource and strive to educate and inform the public about the critical need for animals to be spayed and neutered in Los Angeles. Not only is it the law, but every altered dog or cat means 10-20 less puppies or 12 less kittens per litter. See Low Cost Spay and Neuter Resources – Los Angeles.
• We provide transportation to low and no cost spay/neuter facilities throughout Los Angeles. We realize that many residents only have public transportation or work multiple jobs and don’t have time to access the various spay/neuter programs in our community.
