some songs, for whatever reasons personal to you and i, enter the playlist and usually remain hidden from prying eyes. screw it. this lp has some greats and some are just nostalgia, but the one that i will focus on is the studio version of Changes 1V and in particular the drumming by Gerry Conway. the whole groove is funky as hell and plays with time with super soul. OK, sure he's mainly a 'studio type' guy with too much training and one would think a lack of Quirk, yet he shows it here. other session dude guilty pleasures to come featuring, Steely Dan and other crap. for me, the best Cat is the song not the playing yet there are those moments of rad riffing from all. a clave' version for my friends. ha.
