i remember the day my sister turned me on to this song of Danny Kirwin's with Fleetwood Mac from the LP Bare Trees. from that day though i never forgot this song and eventually would end up recording it and playing it live a lot.(live version on bugnoise blog podcast here) our guitar player Mark was/is certainly as talented as Kirwin and really did the song justice by not just repeating the part but expanding on it's written beauty. i always thought this track was very 'John BarryesQue' and specifically in a "You Only Live Twice" way. anyway...dig Kirwin and also go back and hear him with Peter Green on other great instrumentals like Albatross. get bare trees
