Pal o' mine Ryan Conder
(South Willard) received some pix a little late from last year's mega day @ the Queen.
Very few even made it out and only he and one other were @ the mouth.
In his words,"it was fun and exciting".(more below)
hmmmm.(i was there the previous eve as the swell was building and had some moments of shear terror)

"That wave i was duckdiving was big. it was about one of 20 in that
set. Andy(lyon) and I paddled out at Indicator and got right out. I caught
a wave (top pic) immediately and he was stuck out barely getting over a 40 wave
set for about a half hour by himself. He said it was pretty scary".
"This was paddling out after that wave I caught (top photo) and it is near the bottom of the rivermouth. I finally got back out and caught the following
wave which was pretty big. I would say conservatively it was 8 to 10
out there with 12 foot clean up sets."

last note; Ryan tells me that he and Andy surfed Sunset(HI) the next week big and the Queenie was way heavier.
