Lonnie Toft back in the day.

Derrick Hynde from "Litmus" '96

Toft rider Donovan 2006

This...

That...

One of these things is like the other!

I'll make this short.
Lonnie Toft was always kinda a freak I thought with that 8 wheeler but he ripped back then and apparently still does.
Thank god for people with vision!
He stuck with it like a certain pair of Campbell Brothers I know!
(Also was from Oxnard and surfed Bonzers at the testing grounds)
Now here comes the fish craze with guys like Dan Malloy and Derrick doing these incredible frontside grabrail bottom turns and everything is done with style and usually in a compressed thigh-burning tuck!
A few posts ago I was speaking of getting into a surf-skate type thang with a friend of mine(his idea)but updating the old boards a bit. (basically what the surf shapers
are doing with hotrodding their 70's templates)
Well silly me Lonnie and his boys have been all over it!!!!
Vist his site go to the 8 wheeler gallery and see the Handplant-railgrab-carve!!!!!!!
Here below is a bit of the 8 @ Santa Paula.
Dig IT!!!!
Handplant carve here as well!!!
Note: Lonnie Toft and Sims were the pioneers of the snowboard.
