On this, the 4th anniversary of the Iraq war, I’m presenting the second part to a post I made a couple weeks ago. What follows is the written proposal for a demonstration/happening to take place in Washington D.C., along with images illustrating the event.
For my project proposal I will be attempting to outline/diagram a demonstration to take place in the U.S. capital of Washington D.C. The event will center thematically around an Adam and Eve garden scene (with the Tree of Knowledge) constructed entirely out of the names of U.S. soldiers who have died in Iraq over the past three years. The piece should function as a backbone for the event, constrasting an archetypal mythology of creation with the seemingly chaotic reality we presently bear witness to in the Middle East, geographically believed to be where the myth took place.
