Simple and classic. Absolutely identifiable. Steve Gadd's drumbeat for "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover" transcends the sillyness of the song, in my opinion. I believe it's the reason for the damn thing being a hit! From second 1 your taken on this playful, almost nursery rhyme of rhythm. Not until later do you have to deal with that,"slip out the back jack" crap. Steve Gadd was a studio drummer responsable for many hits and is still very respected by all musicians and the geeks especially. (as seen)
